What's New With This Release?

With this release, a new hardware platform is introduced -- Avaya IP Office 500 business telephone system. This highly modular system is well suited for the under 30 user environment using the built-in Standard Edition software. Through an easy upgrade license, Professional Edition capabilities and capacities are easily achieved. The IP Office 500 system can support up to 270 telephones, 30 Voicemail Pro voice messaging ports, as well as advanced applications through optional licensing: Conferencing Center, ContactStore, Voice Networking, Advanced Voice Networking, Interactive Voice Response, Text-to-Speech, and Compact Contact Center.

Avaya Product family

The IP Office platform comprises 4 models:

IP Office - Small Office Edition, IP406, IP412, and IP Office 500 system. The IP406, IP412, and IP Office 500 (IP500) systems can have expansion modules added to them to match the requirements of a growing business.

Nortel Digital Telephones

The Norstar T7316E phone is a full-featured, expandable, multi-line telephone that has a two-line, 16-character-per-line display that is menu driven and supported by three context-sensitive soft keys. The T7316E provides access to 24 memory buttons, 16 of which include multi-segment icons for fast and precise decision making. It is designed for high call volume positions requiring access to extensive system features.

Business Communications Manager

Nortel Business Communications Manager (BCM) delivers small/medium-sized businesses and branch offices the only converged voice/data solution in the industry, providing a choice of IP-enabled or pure-IP strategy. Leveraging existing Meridian, Norstar, and Succession 1000 investments, the Nortel BCM has the capabilities businesses need including telephony, unified messaging, multimedia call center, interactive voice response, IP routing and data services such as firewall, wireless, and more.

Avaya Digital Telephones

IP Office is compatible with a wide range of wired Avaya telephones that were designed as part of other Avaya product ranges as well as the IP Office exclusive 5000 series phones. Compatible phones are as follows:

Avaya 3810 Cordless Digital Telephones

The Avaya 3810 Wireless Telephone is a digital telephone designed to work with IP Office (minimum release 2.0) by connecting to a DS port. It offers the mobility inherent in a wireless telephone plus access to a number of features and functionality of the connected communications system. The Avaya 3810 wireless telephone uses 900 MHz digital technology allowing a maximum range of 160 feet from the base station.

Call Pilot Voicemails

The Norstar Call Pilot 100 / 150 delivers scalable advanced messaging to growing small and mid-sized businesses. The Call Pilot 150 is an 8 port platform. The Call Pilot voice mail systems have Voicemail, with advanced applications like Unified Messaging and Basic Call Center. Call Pilot is supported on the Norstar Compact and Modular ICS 4.1 or higher, as well as all Norstar Telephones and Business Series Terminals
